ABSTRACT

Jena L, Kumar S., Proteome database for Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains H37Rv versus H37Ra, Onl J Bioinform., 15 (1): 49-53, 2014. An online proteome sequence database for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) strain H37Rv versus H37Ra is described. The database hosts 8031 protein sequences retrieved from whole proteome comparison of MTB strains H37Rv against H37Ra. Analysis identified 3759 identical proteins between the 2 strains, 244 proteins of H37Rv were non-identical to H37Ra with multiple copies in both strains. 172 proteins were identified with mutations (Insertions/Deletions/Substitutions) in H37Ra and 53 in H37Rv. 85 proteins in H37Ra were distinct.
