ABSTRACT

Biswas S, Roy S, Rahul S. Mandal RS, Das HR., Homology model of glial fibrillary acidic protein.

Onl J Bioinform., 27 (1) : 27-46, 2026. Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) is an intermediate filament Type III protein of 3 domains most conserved is rod domain. DNA sequence of this region differs from sequence of other filament proteins of Type III class making it unique for generating structure function. We built 3D model of GFAP by MODELLER and sequence from NCBI No. AAB22581.1) for stereochemistry by PROCHECK generated 3D model visualized by Rasmol 3D viewer.
